Timothy Snyder

The Housum Professor of History at Yale University.

His acclaimed book, Bloodlands: Europe Between Hitler and Stalin, was translated into 20 languages and received the literature award of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the Hannah Arendt Prize, and the Leipzig Book Prize for European Understanding. Snyder is multilingual and as such, his unique work on the Holocaust and histories of Central and Eastern Europe draws heavily on primary and secondary sources. He is a member of the Committee on Conscience of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
